| Lexington
Avenue Federal Credit Union was established in 1959 to serve
the unionized autoworkers at the General Motors plant on Lexington
Avenue in Rochester, NY. In our 45-year history we haven’t
strayed from our initial purpose of serving the working people
of our area. |
|
Over the 45
years we have not only continually expanded our services to provide
low cost services and rates, adding to our member’s financial
security, we have also built a strong financial base to our own
operations. Now with assets over 25 million, We stand better than
ever to help our members obtain low or no cost services, as well
as rates superior to those they would receive at any commercial
bank.
We now embrace
the opportunity to offer our benefits to our neighbors and others
within the community who are being passed over by other financial
outlets. As many financial institutions continue to flee the lower
income areas we feel that we are uniquely qualified to step in
and help those who now find themselves left out. We currently
serve the City of Rochester and plan to expand our participation
with the city, and many neighborhood organizations, as they pursue
their “Renewal Community” efforts.
